VENTURA COUNTY STAR PROFILE OF DIANTHA AIN

This profile corrects an important branch problem. Diantha Ain should not be merged with Diantha Hart Pattison, Frank and Mary's older daughter. The profile places Diantha Ain one generation later: it describes Mary S. H. Pattison as her paternal grandmother, says Diantha moved in 1933 to Colonia to live in her grandmother's twenty-two-room house, and says her father was an architect and builder. It also names a brother Munn and a half-brother Bob.
For the family story, this matters because it opens a living Maynicke-line branch and gives that branch its own writer. Diantha Ain wrote back toward Mary, rather than simply being another name in a list.
What it proves for the public tree: Diantha Ain belongs in the Pattison line as a younger descendant connected to Mary, Maynicke's generation, brother Munn, and half-brother Bob.
What it does not finish: The profile does not give her mother's identity or a civil birth record. The exact legal form of her birth name and the full shape of the sibling set still need direct proof.
